Don't let half-term drive you mad
Issue published 16 February 2012
Well here we are midway through the half-term break and I hope it hasn’t been too unbearable for you.
I have made the most of some vouchers from a certain well known supermarket, and enjoyed trips to The Muppet Movie and The National Space Centre – and it didn’t cost me a penny – I thoroughly recommend using them in this way.
But if you’re struggling to keep your kids amused, why don’t you visit our Kid's Section there you will find all manner of lovely goodies, including a Hello Kitty activity and cookbook set, a Nintendo 3DS, game and Dogs Trust T-shirt, A Lego Star Wars Sith infiltrator and Battle of the Hoth game, Eeerz figures and Rabbids Kinect games – now I don’t even know what some of those things are, but I’m sure the kids will love them.
Monthly Prize Draw
If you would like to send us a competition for the February prize draw, please do. We want you to send us any unique or unusual competitions that we haven’t got or that have not yet been published in any of our titles.
We welcome comps from specialist and hobbyist magazines – and the more obscure the better!
These can be from in-store entry forms, on packaging, leaflets, magazines, web entries – in fact anywhere you can find a comp we haven’t got.
And for EVERY entry we receive (even if we already have the comp), you will receive one entry into our draw, for comps that get used in one of our titles you will receive TWO entries.
And for your trouble, if you are one of the lucky winners at the end of the month, you will receive one of the following prizes:
First prize will receive 100 second class stamps
Four runner-up prizes of 24 second class stamps
10 prizes of 12 second class stamps
